Welcome
Welcome to Sentinel Literary Quarterly (SLQ) - the new publication from Sentinel Poetry Movement. SLQ replaces Sentinel Poetry Quarterly which was in publication between July 2004 and December 2005.
SLQ is published in two formats: Online and Print. The Online version features approximately 30% of the content of the magazine. In effect this is simply an online presence for our primarily print magazine.
It is my hope that you will love the new magazine's broader coverage of literature as it now includes poetry, fiction, drama, essays, reviews and interviews among other subjects.
This first issue offers poetry by Chiedu Ezeanah, David McLean, John Younger, Lee Firth, Mario Susko, Idris Caffrey, Mathew Martin, Bob Rogers, Veronica Pamoukaghlian, and Noel Williams. There is a double bill of stories "Sisi" and "Alek" by Chika Unigwe, the essays "Quiet Days and Loving Nights" by Wandia Njoya, and "Egwu Nwa: Songs Celebrating Childbirth" by Nnorom Azuonye. Karen Smith reviews Moss Rich's Requiem for a Typewriter, and Sule E. Egya reviews Remi Raji's Lovesong for my Wasteland.
Happy Reading
