Peace

by AYAT GHANEM

Woodsmoke is peeling sins

Blanch nights appease

hyper-hypotheses of frank-incensed torments.

Peace.

Longitudinal discontent

Latitudinal pardons

Leaf, palm and oil purify blushes.

Peace.

me, mendicant countenance

following grudgingly

my oscillating orbits.

Peace.

Transformational electricity I implore

Shattered by rhythmic despondency

I pray for

Peace.
