Welcome
to Sentinel
Literary Movement of Nigeria.
On November 15, 2009, the
Nigerian chapter of Sentinel Poetry Movement known
as Sentinel Literary Movement of Nigeria (SLMN)
became a reality.
It is our vision to make SLMN to
most vibrant community of writers in Nigeria. We
will initiate and stimulate the discussions,
debates, and critiques that will form building
blocks for the future of Nigeria's literary arts
through our Blog, Discussion Forum and quarterly
online magazine; SENTINEL NIGERIA which will be
published on the same day every as the Sentinel
Literary Quarterly currently published by Sentinel
Poetry Movement.
Sentinel Nigeria (SN) is not
intended to replace Sentinel Literary Quarterly (SLQ)
and will not attempt to be a clone of it. Whereas
SLQ will carry on providing publishing opportunities
for writers from all over the world, SN will focus
on Nigerian Literature. We would like to state
upfront that we don't necessarily mean Nigerian
literature by Nigerian writers for Nigerians. We
will welcome intelligent perspectives on all aspects
of Nigerian literature by writers from any part of
the world. We will certainly be excited by essays
that offer comparative studies of Nigerian
literature with the literatures of other parts of
the world.
