TOYIN ADEWALE-GABRIEL

Woman of Berlin
(for Marion and Susan)

She is
Bubbling creeks of laughter
Very arrogant jeans

She is
Red fire hair
Dressed in tumult

She is
The word striding on the tongue
When a woman boasts of her sister

She is
The nestling place so warm
A man would wear her name

She is
The irresistible presence,
The smile hovering on her son.
