SUNDRA

Dull thoughts and shiny red shoes

Head dulled with paracetamol
another migraine
again
internal monologue long gone
shiny red shoes numb the pain.
Through dim shafts of light
I see my red walking corvettes
unashamedly bold
As the day they were bought
still curious about the world,
how can I be sad with such laughing shoes?
