BAPTISM

Here again. The fast exit.
Where dreams foam at the top
and take a fierce drift towards the right.
The act and the play, the re-enactment
of the Queen of the Iceni, the place where
Elaine's singular madness gets revealed,
splashed on ochre skies -
the palace of Geraldo's marvellous fury.
A voluptuous look, eyes - the incessancy
of ripening pomegranate
the way it ages into full sweetness,
propelled by the wind and ensouled
by the curious craftiness
of the sky's slanderous domination.
It's where smeared light alludes
and reveals the creativity in the indigo snake's
depressing movement, the suspension,
the suspicion
of the fullness of his smile's lastingness,
the quickness of such brashness,
such tearing of doubts
like the morning
tears the night away from sleepy eyes
