LA MADRINA IS APPOINTED HONOURARY CALENDAR GIRL
FOR THAT UNLUCKY 13TH MONTH

Would write to Sara Aldrete
, Reclusorio Prev. Femenil. Oriente,
wait for her innocuous
replies as i searched her
final letter for scraps of dead skin
that i planned to eat
but nothing
even a hair i could swallow
all i could do was lick under
the stamps on her envelopes
smelling ink
congealed dried
and in no way
not incriminate i wrote
back: do you have a room without a camera?.
always wanted to be in the book store
with friend to say my last girl
was conjugal can be found in
True Crime.
