I wish my view
of the world was different-
that it wasn't so tainted,
clouded,
tinged,
irritated,
tinted,
glared,
blurred,
obscured,
shaped,
disturbed,
affected,
twisted
and poisoned;
I wish I could say I see the world
through pure, untainted eyes.
But I call it like I see it
and I see it like it is.
So please excuse me
if I'm seeing something
you don't want me to see!
Change what you show me-
and I'll gladly change my view.
