K CASEWELL

THE NIGHT WEEPS FOR ME

The night weeps for me
Shedding tears in its silence,
Of my ageing fears
In it's shadow of darkness
The passing of years,
Remain as yet there unseen.
Watching and waiting
Silhouettes of time fading;
Watching and waiting
For the right to have been.
Unmoved by the pale lamp shining.

HIDDEN FEELINGS

Ice, melting
Dripping
From the stone
Etched starkness
Of her face.
Despairingly
Unfrozen
Feelings of grief,
Betraying
The strength
Of the statue beneath.
