Like Morning Draped in Sun

I sing of the brightness of your smile,
the sparkle and your voice, teasing

the the waves of my phone.
Only then will I behold you -
your face fading in the dark,
your lips thin, dance, and dimple

to the chissled heart of your face.
The face of your heart.

Even then, you are only a memory.
Your back returns, waves goodbye
and wriggles towards night,
like waves of your voice...

Still this page blotted by your ink
opens your name...
dials your number...
and returns, saying Hello...!
Like lightening waking my night.

At that time, it is brightness.
Brightness all around me.
