Flight through Heaven
Heaven’s rays beat gently down…
Following soft curving fields and narrow rivers Through land and sea and over hill From one end to the next, I follow
The Lord our saviour who gives us this sky
A little piece of heaven Golden in the sunlight Following, chasing A simple tag with my teasing tail
And as I follow through the white wisps of wonder, The gentle rays of Heaven beat down over my windswept wings Chasing, teasing till once again I can follow up
Closer to the real heaven and out among the stars When the heat ends and I fall… Ever
So
Gently
Back to this Earth where I was born and now Belong. But one day, after the Coming, I will again fly Forever, playing tag with the wind And watching the rays of heaven on my windswept wings.
