Blurred Apparition
I sought images of you in calm waters wayward vision of you forced me to see what our lives could have been together Inner perceptions from the abyss begins as grey light of the moon fell in ghostly shadows casting a fiery glow on the water You stood dark, so dark on the calm river tears dropping, stretching ghostly hands calling my name in phantom voices I moped, transfixed in blurred apparition and as the sun chased the night away I tried grasping the intangible image but traded substance for shadows.
Frank Ugo won the Sentinel Poetry Bar challenge in March 2006 with “Blurred Apparition”
